Breakfast Routine & Stairmaster Workout!

So I saw the movie “The Social Network” last night and wow, it was great.
We were very early to the movie because it was sold out (we had bought our tickets online earlier) but we wanted to make sure we got some good seats, so we were a bit early. It was funny looking around the theater and about three fourths of the entire audience was on their phones…on their Facebook Application. I thought it was quite ironic and just goes to show what a phenomenom this creation of Facebook really was. I was so excited to see it!! Verdict? It was great. There was a lot I didn’t know about how Facebook was actually created and it was so interesting to see the story behind the youngest billionaire entrepreneur. Yes Justin Timberlake was in it–He was okay, I think he should stick to singing (in my personal opinion) However, the acting in the movie was great overall and the movie was awesome!
Now, I thought I would share how I make my breakfast in the morning with you since I do get emails and questions about it. Here are the ingredients (do not mind the melon in the right corner) Coffee this morning was this pumpkin spice coffee, then I have almond milk and vanilla stevia
Coffee starting to brew while I start making my stovetop oatmeal
Oatmeal on the stove top with 1/2 cup almond milk and 1 1/2 cup of water. When it is almost done, I add in vanilla extract, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice
Pumpkin pie spice
Cinnamon
Coffee is done!
Deeeelicious
I cook up 1/2 cup liquid egg whites in the same bowl that I will be eating my oatmeal out of and top it with some berries of choice (today it was strawberries and blackberries)
I pour half of the oatmeal over the egg and berries.
And the other half stays in a tupperware for my meal 2.
I add a touch of sugar free syrup to the oats for some sweetness and dig in! Simple, easy, healthy and fills me up!
I also tried a new to me greek yogurt that I have had once before, but didn’t really remember. These were on sale at Whole Foods 10/$10. SCORE.
This greek yogurt was SO thick. Much thicker than Chobani and along the same lines as Fage, but a bit more tart. I really enjoyed it.
I added some brown rice (and cinnamon after the picture was taken) for a delicious snack.

Fitness Front: I had a great cardio workout yesterday. I was going to do one of my weight training workouts, but I really am trying to listen to my body these days, and I was a bit sore-all over so I thought that some cardio was the way to go. I am really getting into a love hate relationship with the stairmaster. Not the stairmill (which I LOVE) but the old school stair master. I really hadn’t used it at all for my choice of cardio, but recently I have been using it and really like it!! I love that burn I get in my legs, and surprisingly the time on that machine goes by really fast! I acutally programmed 20 minutes yesterday and after 20, I went for 10 more.
I did some HIIT on the stairmaster mixed with some steady state.  I find that I get SO bored doing 30 minutes of the same speed and resistance, so I have to change it up a little bit.
