Hey lovely peeps! Its my Friday and I am currently watching Jersey Shore the news. Yeah, you heard right. the NEWS.
anyways, moving on. I woke up today and had work at 11:30. I was in the mood to move before eating my breakfast, and usually I just hit the streets and go for a 2 mile walk but this morning it was raining cats and dogs
Which by the way, is a wierd image if you think about it...
Moving on...I went to my gym which is a 30 second walk from my apartment. It was really wierd going into my gym since I haven't been there in a while due to INSANITY. Weight machines? Dumbbells? Treadmills? I AM a trainer and work in a corporate fitness center, and am surround by gyms about 40 hours a week, yet this seemed so strange! It had been so long since I had been there. I walked for 30 minutes, moving up the incline and speeds around 3.8-4.2 It was a nice little walk!
Well, let me tell you, I was ready for some stopoats (get it? Stove top oats!!)
- 1/2 C oats
- 1/2 banana
- 1 scoop sun warrior protein powder (almost out!)
- 1 T chia seeds
- 2 fresh strawberries
- handful bloobs added on top
- 1 T Maranatha PB. <---creamiest ever!
I munched on a soymazing muffin before I had lunch because my tum was grumbling
Lunch was an ensalada BUENO. Homemade dressing, of couse. Lots of dijon mustard today, it was tangy!!
And a slice of ezekial bread with lettuce, hummus and a Food For Life veggie burger (need more of these too!)
I had a little dessert for that sweet tooth of mine--a chocolate probiotic bite!
Insanity time! My checklist is looking pretty filled up! I have been getting some emails asking me how I am liking the program and what kind of results I am seeing, if any at all. Although I do not feel comfortable posting 'progress' pics of myself on the internet, I will say that the most noticible results I have seen are all in my stomach and upper legs. My pants are looser, my stomach is flatter and I acutally see abs (!) this program really has a huge focus on core. There is a lot of kick boxing moves, punching, ducking, kicking and planks that make you constantly engage your core. In everything. So have I seen results thus far? Heck yes I have. But besides that, It is an amazing workout and makes me feel energized and elated!
The goal with exercise is to find something you truly enjoy. Exercise should never feel like something you HAVE to do, it should be something you WANT to do, so the goal is fining something you enjoy, whether that be swimming, biking, soccer games, spinning, weight lifting...you name it, just get up and do it!
So, maybe I will never get those Shaun T Abs...I can look, though right?
Post insanity I refueled with 2 hard boiled egg whites, and had a serious fight with one of the eggs, where the shell just didnt want to leave the whites side. I won in the end.
I also had a juicy naval! I had never seen Tropicana oranges! This was perfectly delicous and finished in 20 seconds flat.
An hour later, another snack of greek yogurt, Kashi and roasted almonds
Dinner was leftovers. It was the last of my falafels and some Turkey garbanzo bake with roasted cauliflower
When I got back home, I of course packed some goodies for this weekend. Some bars.
And we have a fridge in our hotel room, so some dairy
And some twins. that look craaaaazy, sorry about that photo!
I also had a whipped cream finger. And thats a wrap.
Guys, I am off for the weekend...in honor of my bike weekend, some pics
