A Life Lesson from Yogi Tea!!

How we all doing on this lovely Hump Day? Boy, is it getting frigid outside!  I have to say its pretty sweet that my car has an automatic starter…and by that I mean it would be sweeter if I knew how to properly use it! I used it this morning and I think it just turns the car on, but it was certainly not warm inside at all! I want some heat in there!!…I did put on the seat warmers which toasted me right up—-ahhh the little things in life right??

Good thing I had this big bowl of love to wake up to!

ughh I am having serious camera Issues, I need to play around with it a bit to get some good foodie pics!
1/2 C oats, 1/2 nanner, blueberries, strawberries, chia, cinnamon, truvia packet…is it sad that I don’t think i could EVER get sick of this breakfast?

with a side of this crunchy deliciousness of some PB
*are you a smooth or crunchy type of person??* I am WAY crunchy!!
I got this on my way to work. I am usually not a Starbuck’s lover at all, but I just needed a quick fix and this was on my way! I got a tall half caf, half decaf because I already had some RIGHT when I got up and I didn’t want to over-do it on the caffeine! I sprinkled some cinnamon on top and had a packet of Truvia in there! it was good!
Lunch Time

I had bought the Arnold thins about a week ago and hadn’t had a chance to try them yet. I knew today was an Arnold thin sammie day!!  these thins have 100 calories, 5g fiber, 21 carbs, cholesterol free, and no corn syrup…sawwweeettt BRING IT ON ARNOLD!!
I packed up all my ingredients and was going to be assembling at work

1 arnold thin, 3 oz turkey breast, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, garlic and herb laughing cow

I pack my lunch in this Lululemon Bag! I love their recyclable Bags!!

Motivation for the day from Lulu!!
And the Sammie in all its greatness

holy yum! This was so good! the Arnold thin was crispy (I toasted it) and nutty tasting (it was the multigrain type) Definitely a keeper!

I also had some of these guys dipped into this stuff

Snap peas in Classic Yellow

mmmm, i sometimes forget how good the classic yellow is!!

Workin’ it
I had a great workout today! I took it easy on the cardio today because I have my Spin class tomorrow and I also need to save myself for this Saturday because I will be getting SPIN CERTIFIED!!! it is an all day event, 10:30 am- 7:30 pm…but after this Jam packed day, I will be ready to teach my own class!!
I did want to however, try out my new running shoes, so I started with 2 miles on the treadmill. I went for enjoyment today, not speed, but I was chugging right along listening to some great new tunes “Tik Tok” (forgot the name of the artist!!) “hell of a life” by T.I and the new Britney Spears “Three” OBSESSEDDDD

Then I set myself up a little circuit-2x around, 60 sec each station
  • lateral raises on flat side of bosu ball
  • 45 degree backward lunges holding 8lb medicine ball
  • lateral lunges w/ frontward lunges
  • Rear delt raise
  • Woodchoppers with 8 lb medicine ball
  • 3 point tricep kickback standing on flat side of bosu ball
  • Jump Squats/1 min wall sit
  • I repeated this circuit 2 times at 60 seconds each station and then ended with 10 minutes on the spin bike

I chowed down on the most amazing snack!

I mixed a plain chob’s yogurt with pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract and topped it with some Kashi Go-Lean …IT WAS HEAVEN!!!
When I got home i saw my dad pick of some of these from WHole Foods! I was so excited!!
Spaghetti squash and I have no idea what kind but it is so pretty! (if you know what this green one is please let me know!!)

I also had a chance to paint mah nails (I have no shared with you all my obsession with manicures!!)

OPI Pamplona Purple in their new Espana Line

Like, Don’t like? Let me know!! It does look brighter in the camera light!!!

I ended the night with some amazing Yogi Bedtime Tea. It is delicious! I threw some unsweetened almond breeze to make it nice and creamy!

Say it straight, simple and with a smile 🙂

i am not sure what i am! i would have to say i like both, smooth and crunchy! depends on what it is i guess! glad you enjoy arnold’s!

Good luck with the spin cert. For PB I like smooth because I always heat my bread and the crunchy makes extra weight so it melts off faster, but on occasion I go with crunchy. We keep both in the house. The sandwich looked good. I loved when I worked at the hospital because I could bring my toppings with me and I had the kitchen available to add anything extra.

ooo thanks for the tip on the noxplode! i was thinking about taking half or even a quarter next time – i doubt i need the whole thing, esp eating so naturally. good to know its a good idea!

Really like the nail polish! Smooth or crunchy, depends on my mood. And as for Starbucks, girl I can drink a venti with an add shot of espresso and go to bed. That’s when you know you are chronically sleep deprived..it’s called motherhood. Enjoy those half caf’s while you can b4 you need to move up to the big guns!

OPI has the best nail polish ever but its a bit pricey! I love the lululemon manifesto, they have a poster with all the great quotes on it which I am so buying once I get home! Crunchy PB is the best!

Oh I LOVE that nail color! I like manicures too, of course only if I do it (I don’t pay for my nails, but I like getting manicures as gifts!). LAtely I’ve been sticking to clear because I’m sick of constantly re-doing them, you know? IT gets old after a while, but I still like to find new fun colors.

    I prefer crunchy, for sure.

    The sammie looks amazing!

  7. Melissa says:

I love the nail color! I can paint my toenails, but stink at painting my fingernails.

Do the Arnold thins keep you full? I want to try them, but don’t think they look as filling as bread or a wrap.

Good luck with your certification! I’ll definitely sign up for Spin if you’re teaching!

  8. Mari says:

Good luck with your Spin Certification!!!

woman you sure know how to make a tasty looking sandwich lol

I wish I had automatic starter on my car…I was freezing my bum this morning, trying to heat it up. Have you noticed that time slows down when you are heating up you car. My new trick is to read blogs while I am doing it ha

  9. Melissa says:

Maybe it’s a mind game, but I think I stay full for longer if I eat crunchy peanut butter. Plus the texture is more fun.

Love that color nail polish! I might get one next week cuz there’s a $10 special at the HealthWorks spa. But I should paint my toes at home tonight.

  10. peaceluvmunchies says:

I just love peanut butter. period. doesn’t matter what kind! haha That’s such a good idea to pack all of your sandwich fixings separatey, and I love, love, love the sandwich thins…they are so yummy!

  11. Missy says:

So cool that you are getting spin certified!! Love your nail color! Now I want to go buy that! I used to make that exact sammy on the sandwich thin! I haven’t bought turkey in like a month though! Weird! Oh and allll peanut butter! Used to be smooth but now I love both!

  12. Janetha says:

HOORAY for seat warmers! my new car has them and i have totally taken full advantage. i don’t think it is bad that you NEVER get sick of that glorious bowl. it just means it is extra delish 🙂 i am crunchy all the way! mmm your arnold thin sandwich looks stacked and superb. i am a fan of the thins too. that is so awesome you are getting certified. i have only done spin once and it was lame because it was to oldies tunes.. yeah i think you read the post. i think i need to give it another shot with a different instructor! your workout looked stellar. i wish we had medicine balls at my gym! cute nails 🙂 hope your thursday is going good!

  13. Erica says:

Hey Hey! Yayyy for spin cert!!!!! Although certification days are long- they are fun and you learn a lot. I’m sure you’ll do just fabulous. Love the OPI color (best nail polish ever). I’m also a HUGE yellow mustard fan.

  15. glidingcalm says:
