Kathys Kracker Review and Target Goodies!

Its Friday! I couldn’t be more ecstatic! It’s been a busy week and I am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend! I don’t have any crazy Halloween plans, my guess is that Jason and I will take is easy, maybe go out to dinner, hand out candy, no crazy dress up parties this year which I am A-ok with! One of the highlights of my halloween is always seeing the creative costumes that the trick or treaters come up with!

I didn’t have a chance to post yesterday, twas quite a busy one, my apologies but I have to share my breakfast from yesterday given that it was NATIONAL OATMEAL DAY!

Oh yeah, this jar was ready

TODAYS EATS

I had work today at 5am…this is one of those days that I work back to back shifts meaning yesterday my shift was 11:30-8, then I go home, prepare food for the next day and literally am in bed by 9 or 9:15. I wake up at 4:15 to be at work to open up the gym at 5.
  •  Many of you asked how I can wake up at 4:15 one day, then 9:00 the next morning? Let me tell you, this was NOT easy when I first started. It messed with my body clock and I was very thrown off. I have been doing this schedule for about 6 months now and I am so used to it, its as if my body knows what to expect so its quite easy! Its crazy how the body can adapt to whatever changes you bring about!
I hopped on the treadmill at 6:30 and ran 4 miles in 36:30! this was great time for me. I tried to do the last mile for speed, keeping it at or above 7.0. I was very happy with this time and it felt awesome! I was chugging along to Basshunter (ahh my techno!) I did some core work and called it a day!

Oats, berries, 1/2 banana, truvia, cinnamon w/ Justins PB drizzled on top… Perfect!
I also enjoyed a Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice coffee!

After work, I stopped at Target on the way home. I wanted to pick up some travel size accessories for COSTA RICA. I am so excited but I always get anxious about travel and how much and what to bring before a trip

**Do any of you get anxious about traveling and always start thinking about what you will bring weeks in advance? What are some staples you always bring with you when you travel?**

I always have with me a book, chapstick, hand lotion, hand sanitzer, bars, nuts, dry cereal (not all of it, but make sure I have snacks), my ipod

Goodies from Target!
  • Low Sugar apricot preserves
  • All natural Archer Farms Vanilla Cranberry PB
  • 2 fage yogurts
  • Archer Farms Pumpkin pie yogurt
  • Mojo PB & Jelly Dipped bar
  • Oats
  • I also got a cute top and of course some travel size goodies, (not pictured)
I also got this!
Yes, you have to turn your head, sorry! Pumpkin Pie Spice diffuser!

It already smells amazing! This was taken in my kitchen, but it is certainly for my bedroom

Lunch Time

While I was beginning to think about what to eat I munched on this guy

mmm Carrot. I love big carrots better than baby carrots, They have so much more flavor to them! (IMO)

Are you a baby carrot or large carrot eater?

I also spotted this on the counter, and I was not the one that took the bite from it! (Ahem, mom, Ahem) I believe she took a bite and left it on the counter! Oops!

I decided on a wrap using this French Onion Laughing Cow I have never tried this flavor before!

Turkey, LC, red onion, romaine, hummus, sprouts AMAZING all wrapped up!

MAIL TIME

I recieved this package from Kathys Krackers

these crackers are
  • Made with fresh fruits and vegetables
  • RAW
  • Loaded with flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds
  • Full of Omega 3’s and omega 6’s
  • No flour
  • 100% vegan

Adding flaxseed to your daily diet can be very beneficial in many ways. Flaxseeds may protect against many health problems like cancer and high blood pressure. They are the best plant source of healthy omega-3s. They have bothinsoluble and soluble fiber which helps keep the digestive system working well. They also provide a complete source of protein, meaning that it contains every amino acid that your body can’t make on its own

I got samples of:

Savory-Golden and Brown Flax Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Sesame Seeds, Tomatoes, Peppers, Garlic, Vegetable Protein from Soy Beans, Purified Water, and Parsley.

Apple Cinnamon-Made with Golden and Brown Flax Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Sesame Seeds, Apples, Cinnamon, Sea Salt, and Stevia.

Salsa-Golden and Brown Flax Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Sesame Seeds, Tomatoes, Bell and Jalapeno Peppers, Garlic, Sea Salt, Cumin, and Oregano.

First up were the Savory Crackers

Nutrition Facts: 1 ounce cracker (3″ X 6″) = 117 Cal, Total Fat 8g (Poly 5g, Mono 2g, Sat 1g), Cholesterol 0g, Sodium 87mg, Potassium 287mg, Carbs 9g, Fiber 5g, Sugar 2g, Protein 5g.

Packed with flax, red pepper flakes, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, parsely. These crackers  are thick and I could imagine so many possibilities. These would be amazing crushed up on a salad or dipped in salsa or hummus

Ah, thats better! These were so tasty! they gave the hummus a bit of a kicked up, mexican flavor. Next up I will certainly be crushing these up on my salad. These were delicious! I cannot wait to try the other flavors!
WOOO what a post!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy halloween!!!

I love the big carrots, too! You’re so right about the flavor…

Also, you kind of make me wish that I was a personal trainer – the way you said “hopped on the treadmill” made me so jealous. Haha.

I love how we both use the same container when we work at the gym ha….AND I think we have the same shirt…the one in the pic with the thumb hole, is that the hoodie from the Gap?

Even though we have these things in common we have one think that may destroy this friendship…Red Sox and the Yankees hahaha

    Have a safe Halloween =)

  8. Allie (Live Laugh Eat) says:

What a crazy/awesome post!! I get SO anxious when I travel. I always make sure to have my iPod with me because you never know how many unhappy babies will be on the flight! I secretly love airports and flying though haha

  9. Sophia says:

HAVE SOOOO much fun, Naomi! I enjoy traveling SO much. The best part is you never really know what to expect…such as, you might just happen to chance upon the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants, or just meet random kind strangers!
My staples would be: running shoes, ipod, Macbook (must), digital camera, 5-6 books, bible, notebook!

  10. Lizzy says:

i’ve seen these crackers around and i simply love the looks of them!!!!!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend my dearest! xoxo love u

  11. Andrea@WellnessNotes says:

Great info on the crackers! 🙂

I used to pack way too much stuff when traveling. But lately I am packing much lighter. I try to bring things I can mix and match and shoes that go with everything.

I like to bring plenty of snacks though because you never know… I usually bring some bars, crackers, dried fruit, etc.

It’s so exciting to plan a trip! Have fun!

    Happy Halloween! 🙂

  12. Erica says:

You have been really busy!! I hope you having a relaxing halloween! Josh and I are doing pretty much the same thing (dinner, laying low, handing out candy) and I couldn’t be more excited! We have like a million kids in our neighborhood so it should be fun. Those crackers sound great- especially the salsa variety. I’ve been to Costa Rica and its a pretty neat place!

  13. Melissa says:

I always pack gum and “brush ups” so I can keep my mouth tasting nice and fresh, even if I take a long nap.

I also pack those Oil Papers so I can freshen up my face without needing to redo my makeup.

    Safe travels!!! 🙂

TARGET MAKES VANILLA CRANBERYY PEANUT BUTTER?! WHAT?! WHEN DID I MISS THIS MEMO?!
    Thanks for the heads up!
And I think the stars seriously alligned that we all had an almost empty jar of PB on national oatmeal day.

  15. eatmovelove says:

Great post! How do you find the Truvia? I still buy Stevia because it’s all I can find…is it still a healthy option?

You look so cute! I actually prefer baby carrots – I find they are sweeter -weird…but I haven’t had a big one in awhile so can’t fairly comment maybe? I also love Laughing Cow, mmmmm!

  16. eatingRD says:

Lots of great eats! We’re not really doing anything for halloween either, just handing out goodies 🙂
wow, crazy schedule! But I guess it would be nice to have some days to catch a little more sleep.
Hope you’re having a relaxing weekend!

  17. Emily (The Experimentarian) says:

Hey, I just found that yogurt at Target too! I also spotted an eggnog and a bread pudding flavor. Holy holiday yum! You’ll have to let me know what you think of that cranberry vanilla pb. I always want to try it and then talk myself out of it 🙂
