New Luna Flavor and New Restaurant!

I love shopping. not as much as I love spinning, but I do love going shopping for things I need (and want!) Today…as hard as it is to say, I did not love shopping. Do you ever have those days where NOTHING fits? Well, today was one of those days. It was a shoe shopping day. Let me preface by saying last weekend I purchased these Ralph Lauren Boots

These Boots would be to wear over jeans or black leggings. I like them a lot, but I do not LOVE. I am trying to find ones that I love and today I had no luck. So, I will still have these RL boots and tomorrow I shall be back at it again. Nordstrom’s perhaps? They have a killer shoe dept!

*Do you have a love hate relationship with shopping??*

Ok, back to the food. Last night Jason and I went back to Nourish in Lexington, MA. We went about a month ago and had such a great dinner! It is close and easy, fast and healthy. I was also craving hummus. So Nourish it was

I started with a half portion of the House Salad

Greens, carrots, red cabbage, cucumbers, sunflower seeds with house dressing (creamy tofu). Twas Delicious I loved the creamy tofu dressing, however I swear I didn’t eat one sunflower seed. Maybe they forgot about them?
Main Dish: Taboule Chicken

Natural chicken pan-seared and sautéed with taboule, served with hummus, tahini, natural pickles, spicy harif, pita and side house salad.
  • This was SO good. It was just what my body was craving! The hummus was creamy and so authentic tasting and the chicken was perfectly cooked with crunchy and flavorful taboule marinade. The salad was topped with a tahini dressing.
  • Hummus on Foodista
Yes, We went all out. That white chocolate Brownie was ordered.
Served warm, swimming in rich chocolate sauce. Did I mention all the ingredients are organic?

Yeah, you can drool, its ok. It was amazing. A square of doughy perfection with a cold scoop of vanilla icecream perfectly placed atop
We liked.  A lot.
He paid. I liked a lot
—————–

Today, the day started off with perfect Cafe Britt french press coffee
Berry berry oats with cinnamon and Walnuts (1/2 C oats, 1/2 banana, truvia, cinnamon, blueberries)

Jason went to hang with his friend for the day who he hasn’t seen in a while. I hit up the gym for an awesome cardio workout. I really pushed it today!

  • 15 minutes on the stepmill (big revolving stairs) 5 min on 3 different interval programs
  • 15 min arc trainer (pic below)  I did intervals on this too (alternating from resistance 25-65)
  • 1 min @ 30
  • 1 min @35
  • 1 min @ 40
  • 1 min @ 45
  • 1 min @ 65
  • (REPEAT THIS 3 TIMES)
  • 15 minutes treadmill
  • 1 min @ 6.5
  • 1 min @ 7.0
  • 1 min @ 7.5
  • 1 min @ 8.0
  • 1 min @ 8.5
  • (REPEAT THIS 3 TIMES)

After the gym, I was a sweaty mess but alas, I made this Lunch which was a rando salad plate (romaine, snap peas, red pepper, cuke with balsamic vinegar)  and a dollop of Peanut Butter dessert hummus

and a grilled wrap with Cranberry Tuna Salad (Tuna, greek yogurt, diced apples, cinnamon, cranberry chutney from TJ’s) baby spinach, tomatoes, sprinkle of cheddah cheese. MMMM…so good!

I got the chance to break into this beauty today. Cookies n cream delight Luna bar

It was so pretty!! the white chocolate icing really just made me smile. It was also coated on the bottom with that same white chocolate.
  • Verdict: I really liked this flavor! It was surprisingly not too sweet and really did taste like cookies and cream ice cream. I could see this being delicious in greek yogurt or some fro-yo (just sayin’) It was both soft and crunchy at the same time which is hard to find in a bar. It gave me the satisfaction of a real treat all wrapped up in a healthy wrapper!

    Ok First.
My run was fine, thanks for asking. I had a yoga studio lock out situation, posting in 10 mins, you can read all about it. Sigh.

Shopping. OMG also a nightmare day shopping for me too. I didnt go full out in my post but suffice to say it was a chaotic zoo and i couldnt even think straight.

    Your brownie looks amazing!!!!!

What bar am I loving. Good quesiton. I have a hankering for a not-that-great-for-you Zone Perfect in White Yogurt called Honey Peanut. It’s neither truly vegan and probably not GF, but I used to love them and now I think they are disconntinued, I can only find it in strawberry and that’s just not what I want. Keeep the Luna rec’s coming, those are usually easy to find, cheap, and Skylar likes them too!

that brownie is calling my nameeeeeeeee. I suppose I better dig in to my last spooky smores bar.. that’s the form of chocolate I have on hand 🙁 le sighhh.

  3. Mari says:

I def have a love hate relationship with shopping! I blame it on my mom and aunts for dragging us shopping when we were little almost every day!

Dude it’s funny that you said people always say you look like someone (on my blog) because the first time I saw your pic, I thought I knew you from somewhere lol

    that restaurant sounds amazing!

  4. Gina says:

The last really great bar I had was the Amazing Grass peanut butter and chocolate bar. It was so good.

I had a bad fitting day yesterday too, at the outlet malls. I found ZERO jeans, and I was so upset.

The white chocolate brownie is making me droooooool.

  5. Andrea@WellnessNotes says:

Yes, I have a love/hate relationship with shopping. First of all, it has to be toddler-free (as he is the worst shopping companion in the world right now)… Second, I get frustrated very easily. So I guess, I only love shopping when I find things right away (which isn’t very realistic)… I love the boots by the way. I remember looking at very similar ones last year, but I didn’t get them. Maybe this year… 🙂

I love the grilled wrap. I think what tomorrow’s lunch will be!

    Have a great Sunday! 🙂

  6. ktbwood says:

  8. MelissaNibbles says:

I love Nourish. I want to go back there soon.

I love fashion, but hate shopping. I just get overwhelmed in stores and if there are crowds, forget it. I can online shop for hours though 🙂

  9. Lizzy says:

  10. chrystad72 says:

Hey! Yup I definitely have that love hate relationship with shopping as well. I really like shopping, then I get to a point where Im done and ready to go home. Im not a marathon shopper I guess!

All that food looks amazing btw. I wish I could eat that brownie right now haha.

hhmmm bar wise…lets see…Im really liking the GoRaw Banana Bread Bar, Goji Bar and Coconut creme pie larabar.

  11. Alisa@Foodista says:

I love Larabar’s though I still cant make up my mind what flavor I love most, but the peanutbutter cookie is also on top of my list 🙂 I really like your blog and I’d love to guide our readers to your site if you won’t mind.Just add your choice of foodista widget to this post and it’s all set, Thanks!

  12. Erin @ Big Girl Eats says:

I want that french press!! And those boots. I hear you, I am having a real issue finding black boots right now! I just can’t find “the ones” and I refuse to settle for anything other than true love 🙂 In men or shoes, I say!

I’m currently loving the seasonal Clif Bars. They are so good, especially the White Macadamia nut ones.

  13. eatmovelove says:

I love your signature with the girl running with a fork! Too cute…I should get a tattoo like that haha :)…not that I have any tatoos now or have thought of getting one…anyhow! I’ve only tried one Luna bar before and wasn’t a fan – it was too much crispy rice for me…but that flavor looks delish – and I loooovee cookies n creme ice cream – or any ice cream for that matter 🙂

Hmm…I haven’t been eating alot of bars lately – but I have Lara PB&J here and some KIND bars, also Nature Valley yummmm- I think I’ll get back on the Bar bandwagon 🙂

  14. Allie (Live Laugh Eat) says:

I was obsessed with the arctrainer 2 years ago and used it over the elliptical every time. I wish the water bottle slot didn’t have holes in it so I could put my ipod in it!

I would have gotten the carrot cake 🙂

  15. burpandslurp says:

Naomi, you and I must have ESP…I just did a post on bars, too! Haha!

Hmm..shopping and I…love/hate. I love getting new stuff, but I hate the process of shopping…I hate trying on clothes…I find that bothersome. lol. Oh, and nothing ever fits me, and I get kind of upset that I’m still too skinny to look good in clothes.

  16. Low says:

Those boots are cute! But I know what you mean about needing to love something. Good luck falling in love with a pair!

I’m loving the Clif Peanut Butter Pretzel Mojo!

  17. Janetha says:

i have an unhealthy shopping habit. haha. cute boots! but i hope you find some you love.

white. chocolate. brownie. ugh. i would have gone straight for the ice cream 🙂

so, french press.. way better than drip? i am thinking of investing. i mean not that they are way pricey but i want to find out if it is worth my time and whatnot.

    YOUR CARDIO WORKOUT KICKS BUTT!

i love it. wow. good job!!

i have not tried that luna but typically do not love chocolate in bars. but.. your review makes me think i may try it sometime.

    currently i am loving:
    *scarves
*snow (it snowed a ton last night/today)
    *leggings with boots (wearing now)
*beanies (mainly because i need a bang trim and i can pull of the slightly longer swoopy bangs with a beanie, which i am wearing now)
*espresso (AND it is national espresso day today!)
    *your blog 🙂

    loves!

  18. Melissa says:

I am head over heels in love with shopping. LOL.

If you can get to the Tannery, they have a great boot selection. I have a pair of black flat boots from Madewell and they’re really comfortable.

Also could fall in love with that Luna bar. I really want to try it!

  19. Shannon says:

I love Nourish. I’ll have to get that brownie next time. Brownies are my favorite indulgence!

I also love those Cookies and Cream Luna Bars. They are one of my favorite Luna flavors. I also really love Balance Bars…too bad they aren’t all that natural.
