Product & Restaurant Review!

The weekend went by WAY to fast, in my opinion, don’t you agree? The only reason I am jumping for joy is because of my SHORT WEEK! I am going to Florida to visit my grandparents and have some major R+R with my mama On wednesday. I am working Monday, then off the rest of the week (YAY!)

Onto some deliciousness

I ordered some Kay’s goodies last week and got my amazing package yesterday in the mail. I had just gotten home from the gym, so this was perfecto timing to break right into a snacky snack

They were delicious little honey poofs of pure amazingness. they reminded me of the shape of puffins!

You better believe I made a yogurt creation with some frozen berries, PB2 and topped it all with The honey poofs! They were so addicting, I am very happy that they are in 110 calorie packs, or I surely would have had way more than my share.
If you can see, they are filled with almond butter goodness inside. These were amazing and I HIGHLY suggest these. They taste sinfully good! 9/10

This morning started off with a steaming hot cuppa joe (french pressed of course!)

Jason’s Breakfast. It was quite the blog-worthy pic. He does love his belgium waffle maker and it makes the perfect fluffy waffle, topped with whipped cream obv
I stuck with my traditional oats bowl with 1/2 C oats, 1/2 banana, blueberries, strawberries, cinnamon, truvia, PB (more on the bottom of the bowl!)
we did some furniture shopping for a new couch for Jasons house (found one!) and stopped at starbucks on the way. Skim Misto with cinnamon shakes

Lunch was at a restaurant called BIG FRESH which is located in Framingham, Ma (for all you locals!) It is one of my favorite restaurant/cafe’s. I had to take Jason because we were in the area.

Cooking up our wraps

Taboule Chicken Wrap

Pan seared Natural Chicken with taboule, hummus, shredded lettuce, red cabbage tomato, cucumber, tahini & homemade piccalilli

O.M.G this was amazing. This was the most amazing wrap I have had in a long time. It was packed with veggies (lettuce, tomato, cabbage, cuke) tahini sauce, hummus, tender chicken and the famous taboule. Unbelievable. Yeah, I ate it all
Spicy harif-they don’t kid around this was quite spicy, but delicious!
Jason got a falafel wrap and when I remembered I wanted to snap a shot, this is what was left. The lone falafel ball-SO delicious.

We stopped at CVS on the way home and we snagged this gum, we had been hearing so much about. Trident Layers

as soon as I opened the wrapper, a huge whiff of strawberry filled the entire car. It was very overpowering and I knew this would taste delicious in my mouth (TWSS)

Besides the fact that it was so pretty, it was delicious! however, like any fruity gum (in my opinion) the flavor lasted a measly ~10 minutes. Great flavor but just didn’t have too much flavor stamina.
ANd it was a winter wonderland here today in Boston. I love when it snows, but only about this much so there is no shoveling that needs to be done. Just enough to cover the grass and trees. So pretty!
**Have any of you never seen snow before?**
**winter or summer person?** I am a SUMMER person without a doubt!

have a great Sunday

Yes the weekend did go by way too fast! The Kay’s Naturals cookie bites look great! I only tried the cereal and pretzels but loved them! Your chicken wrap sounds great too!

  2. Jenny says:

I woke up this morning and had to do a double take on my calender.. sunday?! what the heck happened to saturday! that’s what I get for sleeping the day awayyyy

I swear, we’re foodie TWINS! I love the Kay’s cookie bites, amaze!

  3. Gina says:

wow, those wraps looks fantastic!! I want one right now, please.

I am a summer girl. I used to be a winter girl, but as I’ve gotten older I have developed the “winter blues”, where I get depressed in the winter due to the lack of sun! I CRAVE the sun now, I want it to come out so bad! Oh well, the winter is good for holidays, and my birthday 🙂

You are SO lucky to have such a short week!! Enjoy it!! 🙂

    Those wraps look amazing!

It’s snowed here in Georgia many times, but I’ve never seen SERIOUS snow. I’m thinking the most I’ve ever seen is a foot or 2. I love the holidays, but don’t like cold weather. Maybe I should fly south for the holidays?! 🙂

    Have a good evening!

Kay’s Review–awesome, good to know! I have a shipment on the way and my contest with them I have a mere like 200 entries to win some 🙂

Truvia. I wanted to ask you about that before and forgot. I prefer it to stevia a million times over, but it’s fake. It’s synthetically enginereed, right? And actually, I really dont care. But. ya know. But between sugar in my coffee or truvia or stevia. I do a little sugar and a little truvia. I cannot hang with stevia in hot liquids, only in cold items, i.e. puddigs, ice creams, etc. If you have any more truvia chatter, email me.

Trident layers. I run for a whopping 20 mins in the morning. And one piece of that gum lasts about half my run. So yeah, 10 min and done, you’re so right. The orbit pina colada i featured a day or two ago is slightly better and less “tough” to chew after time passes. i find the trident gets to be a huge, un-chewalbe, headache-induing wad. just my .02

    🙂

  6. Julie says:

ahhh i love me some good old gum. i’m such a gum addict except i like the pineapple green apple better then the strawberry layers.

I wish we had a Big Fresh out here in Seattle. You think we would ‘cuz we’re pretty healthy but we’re kinda anti-chain restaurant (for the most part). Looks yummy though!

WOW that wrap looks like the jam 🙂 And you know I love skim mistos. Fun day. Thats awesome that you have a fun vaca coming up- I’m totally jealous.

Haven’t tried to coffee yet- we’re powering through our bag of peets and can’t wait to start on the Britt! We have tried the chocolate covered espresso beans and they are amazingly delicious. Addictive.

  15. chrystad72 says:

Looks like a great day! The snow looks awesome. Its the one thing Ive missed since moving out to the east coast. That wrap does look awesome! Great flavors going on in there. I tried out the gum too and found the same thing. It didnt last at all. Kind of disappointing. Im a gum fanatic and I like it to last for awhile.
Congrats on finding a new couch. Its always fun to find new furniture!
    Have a great Monday!

Those honey almonds puff things look like perfection! If they are anything like puffins, then I should buy them and will likely finish the box in a couple of days (based on a true story)!

I used to be a gum maniac! I love the fun flavored gums!

Hope you get lots of rest and fun on your vacay!

Those cookies sound perfect!! I love how much protein is in them!

We get snow every year! Most people think new mexico never sees snow but we’re lucky to have all seasons here!

  21. burpandslurp says:

High five! I’m a summer person, through and through. I HATE winter. It is chilly and about 50 degreees here, and I’m already complaining like a baby.

I hope it’s warmer in Florida, and have fun, my dear!

  22. MelindaRD says:

Have a great trip. I love visiting my grandparents in FL. Enjoy your down time. I have seen snow, unfortunately. I hate it. That was one reason I moved to Vegas. And I just heard it is snowing today in Vegas. It did last year too. No snow here on the island although it is not tropical, just not cold enough to snow. But lots of rain. I am a summer person for sure!
