FINALLY My V-Day gift & Loads of Yumminess!!

Well good afternoon my friends! Happy Monday! It is an absolutely beautiful day here in Boston, about 50 degrees! I love this weather! I have some major recapping to do but before I do so, I want to share with you my way late Valentines day that I got from Katie! It was late on my part getting, not hers, she sent it right on time! I had her send it to my parents address (at the time my address) so I went home last night for dinner and got to finally open it! Thanks KATIE! love you girl!

The goods: Dark chocolate dreams (never tried it!!), cake batter diffuser, freek oikos coupon, Hello Kitty stickers and notepad, cute heart shaped bowl, Mojo Bar, Qbel Bar, Archer Farms pomegranate berry bars, Heart to Heart Kashi cereal, Uh Mazing goods!

Mojo Bars are amazing and never had either if the other two. YES love new products! Bowl will be used as well!

Ok backing up to Saturday where I left off. I took a KICK AS* spin class at 11:15. HRM said 650 calories in 55 minutes! I was a sweaty beast.  I also introduced myself to the instructor to let her know that I was on the sub list and just to be friendly. She is super nice!!

Post spin snackage. Cottage cheese mixed with 1 scoop Sunwarrior PP, frozen bloobs, dabble of almond milk. Party in mah mouthhh

I got all showered and changed then picked up my friend because we were going to see “Valentines day” while BBMing with my girl of course. Before we fueled up with Panera.

Veggie soup with pesto (was missing the pesto, I was not happy)

Salmon salad with balsamic instead of the tangerine dressing it comes with. Was good, not as good as last time but still goooood. Its funny how at the same restaurant in a different location the SAME item can be terrible or delicious.  The other location where I ordered this Panera salad was MUCH better. Does this ever happen to you?
—Verdict on the movie? Cute, but not amazing. I liked “he’s just not that into you” and “Love Actually” MUCH better. I mean it was fine, but I wouldn’t go rushing out to see it, I would wait for video!
Sat Night I chilled with my roomie. We watched the “ugly truth” love KAtherine Heigel in that movie!! Jason was in NYC this weekend for his brothers bachelor party.

Sunday, woke up to a big ole bowl

The usual. Sorry for being oh so boring!!
THen I went to a power yoga class at my gym! I was Emailing with Averie prior to taking it to decide between that and Vinyasa. This is what she had to say:
Not much…they are pretty much the same but power will be more of a “work out” generally speaking if you’re taking it in a club/gym than vinyasa.  In a yoga studio vinyasa means power b/c yoga studios really dont use the word “power” that much.  It’s like saying aerobics.  Kind of a 1985 word LOL  However, it’s all semantics and just depends on the teacher really 🙂  Does that help?  Are you going to go to yoga?
SO I decided to do the power yoga and it was awesome! it was 90 minutes and teh instructor was great. I felt stretched and totally relaxed, yet invigorated afterwards!

POst yogi snackage. Plain Chobani with 1/2 diced fuji and cinnamon.

All together now.
-showered, changed and stomach was growling again. I looked in the fridge and realize I had lots of veggie remnants to deal with. I decided on a big ole kitchen sink salad (thats LOTS of different types of veggies in one bowl, basically all I had left)

  • ROmaine
  • Red onion
  • Diced baby carrots
  • Cukes
  • Red pepper
  • Roasted broccoli and cauliflower
  • Edamame
  • Salsa on the side and drizzled with balsamic vinegar
Protein was 1 3oz can of tuna with a LC wedge, Hot sauce and diced celery. Try this!
after some food shopping, I went to Jason’s house since he got home around 3. He was one tired boy. We watched some tv and cuddled (well he slept I did laundry!) Then around 6:15 we went to my parents house for some dinner!

My mom is an AMAZING cook and I do miss her cooking so much! 
  • Roasted cod atop leeks, grape tomatoes, onions, lemon and peas
Roasted asparagus and celery root (note to self: do not like celery root)

Roasted sweet and regular potatoes.
There was also a BIG salad and we had Edy’s butter pecan fro yo for dessert! Such a good meal I was stuffed!

This morning I stared with 30 min of cardio. I kept it light because I am seeing my trainer later today. This is a day that  I split my workout into 2 smaller ones. I fuel properly and make sure not to over train myself, do not worry! this is 3 eggwhites with cinnamon that I had post my 30 minute treadmill workout.

phew, what a post! I think I covered everything! I just scarfed a turkey wrap and will head to my old gym soon to meet with my trainer! I don’t know what to have for dinner tonight but I know some Kale Chips will be on my plate! I also had a spaghetti squash that needs to be eaten soon, we shall see!
  • What’s your favorite way to eat spaghetti squash? I need some ideas!
  • What is your favorite condiment? Mine right now is salsa!
  • Will you be watching The Bachelor tonight?!?! I can’t wait to hear what Rozlyn has to say!
