Fahmah’s Mahket

I love pretending like I have a Boston accent, when in fact I have nothing even close to any accent whatsoever. I was born and raised here too, go figure! My day started with cardio + breakfast, not at the same time of course. Today, my legs were really feeling my leg workout from yesterday (deadlifts=shaky glutes and hamstrings!!) I do love that feeling though! Todays cardio of choice was the elliptical and stairmaster. I started with 25 minutes on the elliptical followed by 13 on the stairmaster, which is wierd for me because I usually am a gal of even numbers on machines, but I just couldn’t hold out for those 2 more minutes to make it an even 15!
Oats (1/4 C oats with 1/3 scoop protein powder, 1/4 C liquid eggwhites, 1/4 C strawberries)
Mid morning I had a delicious juicy plum! I also had a greek yogurt and 1 TB almond butter and 1/4 C oats

As soon as I came home for lunch, I started cooking up another batch of boiled chicken breast! I love this method because it is super fast, flavorful and makes the meat so tender!
While the chicken was cooking, I threw together a veggie packed salad with balsamic vinegar. There were green beans, orange pepper, cauliflower and cucumber on baby spinach
3 oz grilled chicken and 4 oz sweet potato on the side
I got the new Oxygen magazine and flipped through it while eating lunch. Is it me or does anyone else find these ad’s in exercise magainzes extremely annoying and hard to look at? I mean, this doesn’t even look like the same person in each photo!
I went to the farmers market with my mom later in the day! We happened to be downtown and basically ran into the market! I was SO excited!!! I love local fruits and veggies and the people that work at the booths are always so friendly!
Tons of heirloom tomatoes! The uglier the better!
Kale and Japanese cabbage
Mini tomatoes!
We came home with lots of goodies including peppers, corn, lots of tomatoes, green beans and this vegetable that I believe is Japanese vegetable called “Mibuna” (someone please correct me if you know what this is!)I have never used this before and I was so excited to try it out. A lady who we ran into told us it’s great cooked in a wok with garlic and some sesame seeds.
Whilst cooking, I broke into the heirloom tomato. This is hands down one of the best tomatoe’s I have ever had in my life
Japanese Mibuna , garlic, some peppers in the wok
More tasting of the tomato
YUM
Tah Dah!! I cooked up the cabbage with some red peppers, 3oz chicken that I cooked earlier, garlic and some sesame seeds
That dinner was the most creative i have been in a while! I LOVE

FUN new workout song!
  • Have you ever tried something new from the grocery store and surprised you in a good way?
  • Do you make converstations with the people you buy speciality foods from? I ALWAYS usually talk to people about certain foods when i am buying from a speciality market. Their job is to know about that specific food and not only do they love talking about what it is they are selling, but talking to them usually enlightens me on what I am buying and they have great tips for how to cook or bake with it! I find the folks that work at the meat department at Whole Foods are always so knowledgable!
