The Best Decision

Happy Friday, friends! I am so happy its finally the weekend. Not that this week was too stressful, but weekends are just always fun, right? I am so glad you like the 30 minutes, now what post. It sounds like many of you sometimes have to squeeze in your workouts into 30 minutes, so hopefully you will use some of these techniques next time to make the most of your time spent working out. Remember, you do NOT need a gym to workout! Find an open space in your house or outside (its 60 degrees in Boston today!!) and  get sweating! I always like to switch it up…there are certainly days I don’t feel like being inside a gym and take my workout outdoors! Try it once in a while!

Oh did I mention that I OFFICIALLY signed up for the April 30th Fitness America competition at Mohegan Sun?

The only strange thing was that I registered and my birthday is on the 31st of March. There was no option for me to choose the number 31! The numbers only went up to 30, So it says my birthday is March 30th…Oh well!

The other morning I met a fellow Savage girl (Hi Jenn!) at our gym to workout. We hit Biceps and Triceps and it was so awesome! I loved having a workout buddy that works just has hard as me and really doesn’t mess around. I have worked out with others before, and It really wasn’t ‘my thing’ because they just wanted to talk and then rest and then do cardio.  When I want to lift, I really just want to get in my zone and lift, so it was so refreshing to be able to share this with a friend!

This morning I had an awesome chest and back workout at the gym. It was very quiet there, and for some reason I really was in my zone. It must have been the huge cup of the new Dunkin Donuts Strawberry Shortcake coffee I had before hand (Wow, amazing, by the way) I felt strong and awesome after that workout!
I found it at Target (well my roommate picked it up, thanks Val!!), and I hear its one of the only places that carries it, but if you find it elsewhere please let me know! My roommate and I want to stock up!
It could have also been the amazing bowl of oatmeal I made? I mixed 1/4 C cooked oats with unsweetened cocoa powder atop egg whites and some blueberries. I added a tsp of coconut oil before eating. Talk about the flavors of an almond joy candy bar!
Oh so good!
When I got back from the gym, I made a chocolate/mocha protein shake! I had some coffee leftover, so I decided to pour it into my blender along with 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder, water and ice. In  SOLO cup, I know. It was so far, the best decision of the morning! It tasted like a healthy frappucino!
Oh and there’s me, hard at work!

I wanted to share a funny video with you all. If you have ever competed or thinking about competing, you will get a good laugh. A fellow trainer shared it with me and its just too funny!

Have a wonderful Friday!!!!!!!!

Question of the day: What is the best decision you have made today?
