Random Facts, and Product Review!

I would first like to say thank you so much to you all for sharing your pet stories with me!! I loved hearing about your pets, the love you have for them and how they truly are a part of the family! I couldn’t agree more.

Now, I would like to share these ‘random thoughts of the day’ I was forwarded this email a few months ago and saved it because it is hilarious. I will let you read.

1. I think part of a best friend’s job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn’t want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I’m pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren’t going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don’t want to have to restart my collection…again.
13. I’m always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. “Do not machine wash or tumble dry” means I will never wash this — ever.
15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What’d you do after I didn’t answer? Drop the phone and run away?
16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
17. I keep some people’s phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
18. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day “Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?” How the hell do I respond to that?
19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.
—————————————————–
Hahaha If that didn’t make you laugh or simply think to yourself, “this is so true!” then just read it again. I bolded the ones that I think are just SO true!
I would also like to add one of my own :
21. “I get the idea of the automatic toilet flusher, but they should really check to make sure they work properly. 9 times out of 10, the flusher either flushes while I am still sitting down, or when I get up to leave the stall, it doesn’t flush, so then I have to wave my hand in front of it, or ‘pretend’ to sit down to activate it…I mean, I think I can be the judge of when I am finished”

How would you add to this list?
————
Work at 5am today. 2nd day in a row and tomorrow will be the same. I needed this

Gingerbread coffee with SILK french vanilla creamer. heaven in a cup.

Drunken shortly after my 4.3 mile run this morning. I was sore from yesterdays workout with my trainer so today was a just cardio day. It was a great run! I did better than i thought I would being the day after  my training session

1/3 C oat bran, frozen berry mix, 1/2 banana, chia, cinnamon, truvia, Crazy Richards PB (more than pictured!)
After some work there was needed to be done, it was snack time. Plain Chob’s and an organic gala apple. They are acrobatic aren’t they?
Chobani was eaten as so, with some Kays Natural Honey Almond Cereal. (Love)
I came home to this amazing pacakage from Gluten Free Life Foods
A little background on this company: Located on a hilltop on 10 acres of gorgeous rural Missouri landscape, Bread of Life’s gluten free baking facility is built in a renovated 100 year old barn. Here, three families come together to bake and ship the world’s most delicious and wholesome gluten free muffins and brownies to happy folks all over the USA. We use only the very best ingredients, starting with whole grain sorghum and free range eggs. Bread of Life makes things that are not only delicious but also highly nutritious. None of our products contain artificial additives of any kind.

5 cookies-Snickerdoodle, Sugar cookie, flax shortbread, chocolate chip
3 packages of Rich Brown Bread.
3 muffins: Apple Pie, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Chip.  An example of the simple, gluten free ingredients in these muffins. Sorghum Flour, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Potato Starch, Butter, Non-GMO Sunflower Seed Oil, Apples, Free Range Eggs, Tapioca Flour, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Baking Powder, Xanthan Gum, Baking Soda, Sea Salt.
  • First up to try was the rich brown bread
  • I was very skeptical about what this bread would taste like. It felt very cardbord-y and dense. BUT the outside of the package says “A miracle happens when you toast it!” So, I gave it a shot.
  • Ingredients: orghum Flour, Tapioca Flour, Millet Flour, Flax Flour, Date Paste, Eggs, Sunflower Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Sea Salt, Yeast, Gluten Free Baking Powder.
toasted up with some melted cheddar cheese. This company does not mess around. This bread was so rich, nutty and delicious! it really did turn into a miracle in the toaster! It was light and crispy. I love the addition of date paste in this bread! Maybe thats what made it irresistible. Each slice has just 60 calories, 13g carbs, 3g fiber. They are small slices, but 2 of these with some toasted cheese make for a great snack!
I also decided on some soup for lunch. I receieved 3 cans of Campbells Select Harvest soup from a giveaway I won on from Melissa @ Melissanibbles (Thank you girl!)

Not terrible nutrition facts, besides the high sodium content, but that is to be expected with canned soup.

I added some broccoli to boost the veggie intake in here. This soup was ok, nothing spectacular. I am not a huge canned soup fan anyways, so I was not expecting much out of this, I was just craving something warm. The broth was thick yet thin at the same time. It felt very processed with a fake flavor but watery at the same time. I did like the large chunks of veggies and chicken breast in this soup, along with the white beans. I scooped them right out of my bowl first. What was left was a lonely bowl of broth. 5/10. I would not get this flavor again, sorry Campbell’s.

After lunch I met one of my best friend from High School who was home for the week for thanksgiving (she lives in Washington DC) for a manicure! It was so nice to catch up with her and I will see her and lots of my other friends Friday night for my 5 year HS reunion.
I came home and dug into this yog mess with a dollop of peanut buttah…SCORE…I also had some un-pictured Natures Path Organic Crunchy Maple Sunrise.
Also so psyched about this…mini sugar pumpkin!! Can’t wait to roast it (so sorry for the outfit/hair, etc)

What are you psyched for these days?

-I am off to eat some dinner and then head to bed around 8:45. Yes, like I am in 3rd grade, besides the fact that I have to be up at 4:15. sweet

Gnite xo

  4. eatmovelove says:

Great post! I love #13,14,15…well all of them! Hmm…there are a bunch I could add…but not nearly as funny…maybe,

Why does it happen that everytime I race to make a green light, it turns red just as I get there?

Why is it that the Senior Citizens I see every day all have hearing aides…but I still have to shout at them…and they still don’t understand me?

    Have a good night 🙂

  5. Mari says:

  6. Gina says:

    I will add to that list by saying;
” I hate how every day, at least once, I feel like a complete idiot”. List just a second ago when I was reading all of the random thoughts, which were hilarious, and thinking oyu wrote them. Then I read, “The other day my SON”, and I was like WHAT?! And then it said, DAD, so I Was like ummm, dad? Then I realized this was an e-mail, not your own thoughts! Duh.

Check out my post tomorrow, our reviews of this soup are scarily similar!! Great minds think alike 🙂

  7. candice says:

Completely agree with that first random thought. o_o which kind of scares me… Enjoy eating those treats! That brown bread looks and sounds delicious (dates!).

  13. Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) says:

Love the little random facts n info…good stuff!

“Gingerbread coffee with SILK french vanilla creamer. heaven in a cup.”–I would concur. I have never had that Green Mtn chain’s cofffee, never even heard of it actually. Must be a regional co.?

    Anyway the GF foods…
Why am I GF and have to be and I never get sent any GF swag. Well, I have gotten some but I solicit it LOL. Thank you for the review and cant wait to hear about the other products. I seriously am always on the lookout for stuff that tastes great. 99% of the time I go without b/c it’s either too $$ or too gross. Or too hard to find. So nut flours, seed flours, and just a high raw diet are my alternatives.

  14. K from ksgoodeats says:

HAHAHA – that list had me dying! I agree with a good majority of them! Number 16? That’s when I just rewear my outfit the next day – if no one saw, no one knows that outfit is ‘dirty’!

  15. healthhappinesshope says:

OMG, this list just cracked me up! I can totally relate to almost every single one. Thanks for posting it! 🙂

What a great package of goodies!!! They sound so healthy AND yummy.

And I have to admit that I am SOOOO not a Campbell’s girl. Their soup just can’t compare to the likes of Amy’s Organic soups!

    xxoo

Wow, good for you for getting up so early AND going for a run! I’m going to have to start doing that if I want to work out before it’s dark.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  21. Nicole Chow - HealthyChow.com says:

That list was hilarious! Thanks for posting it. I laughed at just about every one.

I’d like to add: “Can we all agree that the sneeze guard at salad bars is never long enough nor big enough?”

Have fun at the NSHS reunion. Where is it being held? Union Street Bar? I’m supposed to have a 15 year (gasp) reunion this weekend. But, I don’t think I will be going. I hope you have a blast! Have a great Thanksgiving!
