Do I have your attention?
How about now?
ok great! There are just two of my new favorite celeb boys out there. Channing Tatum-HELLO? who knew he was such a hottie and I have always love Bryan Greenberg! They both have movies coming out soon, so look out for those!
I started the day bright and early! 5am work, and today was a toughie getting out of bed, but my automatic car starter makes things a little better for getting out in teh frigid weather!
I hit the treadmill for a workout. I was just sticking with cardio today to give my muscles a break from my weight training yesterday. I followed the bath of Janetha with her workout!

It was a good one! I upped the speeds on some of them, but overall great workout! Check her out, she is doing amazing on her “Jamaican me Bikini already” Beach challenge
1/2 C oats today, not oatbran. I had been on such an oatbran kick I forgot how delicious oats are. They tasted nutty and chewy and I missed them! So happy I made this choice. As you can see some poppin cranberries made their way in there along with 1/2 banana and chia seeds

Perfect bite of Naturally More and Oatmeal (mixed with cinnamon now)

This made its way in my coffee. The SO Delicious french vanilla creamer. It was on sale at Whole Foods and I snagged it! It was so delicious! I think I prefer the hazelnut one that I reviewed here. But it was super tasty and needed no additional sweetener

11:30 am: plain Fage with cinnamon and unpictured Macintosh apple. (They are local and So good!)
I left work to come home and had one thing on my mind because it was so cold out! Tofu scramble in a wrap!
I sauteed some red pepper, onion and cubed tofu

Added 3 eggwhites and topped with some baby spinach, so it began to wilt. This is where i FAILED. I didn’t spray enough Pam on the pan and it was not sliding so easily, I knew it was all down hill from here.

I placed a lauging cow slathered, low carb tortilla on top in hopes that I was going to flip the whole thing over in the skillet. My mom has made this before and she did it flawlessly.
Yeah, THAT happened. This is what it turned into. More of a messed scramble atop a soggy wrap.
I let the tortilla crisp up a bit and placed the whole thing on a big red plate, ready for my belly

Ok, so the picture wasn’t so blogworthy, but it was a delicious, hot lunch that I was craving!
I also made a little veggie snack plate with some Sabra because i was still a bit hungry.

A few hours later I decided to have some of this tea. No, I am not sick or getting sick but i LOVE this tea! It is made with fennel and licorice and it has such a natural sweetness that I truly crave sometimes. Try it!

I snacked on a juicy Bosc pear @ 5:00pm (along with come cottage cheese/cinnamon)
—–
I did some errands, including looking for a dress for Jason’s brothers wedding which is April 10th. I went to Bloomingdales and BCBG and foudn nothing I liked. I didn’t even try anything on! I am thinking of going downtown to Saks 5th and Nordstroms to see what they have! I will wait till my mom gets back from FL.
I was craving my mom’s homemade pasta sauce for dinner.  It is packed with rustic pieces of veggies and fresh tomatoes. I took it out of the freezer and defrosted that baby.
Sauteed some Brussels Sprouts, Brocolli and those chicken meatballs that I got yesterday. They are made by Coleman’s Naturals and you can read about them here

All mixed up! I added some shredded Mozz cheese on top.
I paired this with my moms;s homemade Butternut, ginger soup! I added some baby spinach to let it wilt in the hot soup. Look at those colors!

Chillin with mah bowls and mac watching E! news. Stepahnie Pratt needs to get. a. life. period.
And Rozlyn from the Bachelor? She needs to get a life as well.
Phew, what a post and now I am just waiting for Biggest loser/American Idol! I cannot wait. I am so excited to sleep in tomorrow morning. Anything past 4:15 am makes me a happy girl.
update on the apartment situation: I talked with the girls and landlord yesterday and everything is a GO. She is just running a credit check to make sure I am all good to go, and I move in Febuary 1st! I talked to my mom today and told her the news. She is sad but very happy for me at the same time. I am only moving 10 minutes from home, so I have a feeling I will be back quite often.
  • What are your favorite kind of balls?(TWSS) get your minds out of the gutter… Meatballs, veggie balls, turkey etc… Right now I am loving these chicken meatballs!

    1. Chocolate, can those count?
    2. I’m going to generalize the question and answer with Taylor Swift. Our ages totally work, too. AND I liked her before she became famous to the non-country music world. That counts for something.
    3. Drink coffee

Mmm I definitely want to try those chicken balls! My favourite ‘balls’ are these turkey meatballs my mom makes- which are FULL of chopped herbs/middle eastern spices! They’re called Kofta and are absolutely delicious eaten with a tomatoe-y Middle Eastern sauce. Mmmmm 🙂
    When I cook…I sometimes like to pretend that I’m on a cooking show…cliche I know, but it’s fun 🙂

i was watching e news too! perfect accompaniment to dinner

  17. Abby (Nibble, Nourish, Run) says:

Oh I’m feeling you on the not enough PAM disaster (delish anyway). I am the world’s worst omelette maker…they never look pretty for me at all. So sad – but they always taste yummy so who cares?! YAY YAY YAY for the apartment too!! Woo hoo!!!

HAHA we have exactly the same taste in dudes! I actually tweeted the pics of Channing from Details, ayer! AND I love Bryan Greenberg! I brought the movie Prime on DVD so I can watch him over and over again lol

  20. chrystad72 says:

hey!!! I love that tea too!! Its so soothing and drink it sometimes even without a sore throat. It does feel like it coats your throat a bit I think, which I like in the winter time. Love the eats too. That home made butternut ginger soup looks amazing! I gotta say I like veggie balls. Especially with spinach in. Theres something about beans and spinach in ball form that I just love.=) My favorite thing to do while cooking is just listen to music and let the creative juices fly! Its kinda a time I take to myself and I love. Oh and sometimes on the weekends some wine while cooking doesnt hurt either=)

    Take care hon!!!

  21. MelindaRD says:

The scramble looks great. Hey. at least you got it scrambled. Next time you will do it perfectly. Congrats on moving forward with the apartment.

  22. Missy says:

  23. Gina says:

As for celebrity crushes, I have this thing for Tiger Woods. JOKE. He disgusts me.
While I’m cooking, I usually have the tv on in the background (usually Seinfeld re-runs) and I just listen to it. If I watch it I get distracted!

I agreed with your comment about the Biggest Loser. That will be under one of my dislikes from yesterday’s show. Come on Jillian, ALL RDs say to snack!

  24. Sara says:

If I crave something sweet after lunch I sipp some ‘candycane lane’, so sweet.

my balls of choice… chicken with feta and red peppers. I def watch me some trash tv while cooking, something I don’t have to think about but can listen to and laugh at randomly.

  25. Erica says:

  27. errign says:

Congrats on the apartment! That’s awesome!

I like to be alone in the kitchen and I don’t really do anything, like singing, sometimes I talk to myself, lol.

  28. Cara says:

Food doesn’t need to be pretty to taste good! I’ve had some photographic disasters too.

Favorite balls? Well tonight we will be having leftover poblano-chicken-albondigas soup (Mexican meatball soup). pretty darn tasty and I will be blogging about it soon!

  29. cward151 says:

As long as the scramble tasted good and satisfied your craving, then that’s all that matters. 🙂

I love listening to music while cooking. When I’m not in a rush, the two activities combined make for super-relaxation.

  30. Jenny says:

I am all for peanut butter balls (aka, a spoonful of peanut butter). So typical.
