My Hero

Hey guys! Whats shaking?
Although, my mom will ALWAYS be my hero. I have a current new hero these days. Her name is Chalene and she means buisness. I am loving my new Turbo Fire workouts and its all thanks to this lady right here. SHe has such high energy, she is positive, strong and knows how to push. I am thinking about taking a video of me doing a small turbo fire workout, so we’ll see!

Yesterday for lunch I made a delicious baby spinach salad with red pepper, shrooms, cabbage, cucumbers and sprouts topped with balsamic vinegar and minced garlic!

I had some left over turkey tips atop my salad (Jason ordered them when we went out to eat on Saturday)

I had 1/3 C to be exact! (Note: I don’t always measure my food, in fact I don’t most of the time, but it was right there and I figured why not?)
I did some errands and other things (lots going on in my life, so I am a bit stressed but no worries, I am staying calm cool and collected) I came home to make a protein smoothie for an afternoon pick me up!
  • 1/3 C frozen berry mix
  • 1 C almond milk
  • 1 scoop MGN protein powder
  • ice/water
  • BLEND YUMMMM
I had 1 rice cake too and decided to make some dippage happen!

Dinner was an easy, oldie but a goodie! A Josephs wrap! I filled it with baby spinach, grilled chicken sprouts and yellow mustard
I still got it 🙂
I cooked some cabbage on the side with olive oil spray and minced garlic

Small baby spinach, red pepper, mushroom salad!
and for dessert…..

I was inspired by Alyson (obviously, because if you don’t already know I live vicariously through her) I made my own tofu pudding!
I mixed about 1/5 block tofu with a handful of blueberries and 1/2 scoop of protein powder. I added about 3 T of almond milk to get it all moving in the bullet

YUM! This is delicious!!! I’m now a fan.

Breakfast was oatmeal! I cooked up 1/2 C with water and topped it with 1/2 C blueberries and strawberries. I added cinnamon and 1 Truvia packet as well. And chia seeds! I had 5 eggwhites (hardboiled) on the side

A mid morning snack of greek yogurt and raw almonds. I also had unpictured 3 oz of chicken breast

I added 1/4 scoop peanut butter protein powder SO DELICIOUS!

Lunch was another similar salad to yesterday! Big ole spinach plate with veggies and tofu. I cooked the tofu on the stovetop with ginger, SF syrup and a splash of low sodium soy sauce.

1/2 sweet potato and some extra tofu on the side.

Like my “N” plate? My mom found it for me in Home Goods! How cute is that?
Workout of the day: Turbo Fire HIIT 20 and Turbo Fire 45 Class. Awesome workout. I was dripping! Someone was asking me yesterday if I thought Turbo Fire was a hard workout. My answer to this is YES, but it it up to you to make it hard. Of course, you could do the workout, and not feel like it was that great after, but thats because it is up to YOU to put in the 110% intensity. You can exaggerate the moves, really focus on what you are doing and I believe, it is one of the best full body workouts I have ever done. I feel it in my arms, CORE (big time) legs, butt! Everything! As a trainer, I have tried many DVD workouts, and this was is one of my all time favorites!!

Okay, I am off to have a small protein bite! MMM they are so good. Perfect “palate cleanser”

  • What is the BEST workout you have ever done? I love Turbo Fire and Insanity, but I also feel amazing after a hard weight training workout or spin class! ahh so hard to choose!
  • If you could create your own protein powder flavor what would it be? Mine would be cinnamon Graham cracker!
  • What is one ‘semi homeade’ trick you use when cooking or baking? Mine is that if I am making brownies, I follow the boxed mix but always add something of my own like PB chips, or swirl PB in it etc..
