Hey friends!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I did here it was filled with a little work and a little play. On Sunday from 9am-6pm I was in an AFAA workshop to get certified as a group fitness instructor.  I am already ACSM certified (personal trainer) and Spin certified, so I figure, it would be a great idea to have my primary group fitness instructor certification as well!

To be honest, I am never a fan of these workshops that take up a precious weekend day for me, BUT they fly by and becasuse am in this industry, studied exercise science in college and truly love what I do, I find it so interesting. I take it as a learning moment, and instead of dilly dallying and constantly looking at my watch, I think about how thankful I am to be in this workshop, take notes, participate and learn all I can!

We find out in 4-6 weeks if we passed so fingers crossed!

Now, I participated in Tina’s secret blogger santa and I am so glad I did! I participated in one last year and I absolutely LOVE this idea! It is such a great way for bloggers to get introduced to each other and maybe start reading a blog they didn’t know exsisted before. Not only that but it is a great way to send some holiday spirit! My secret santa was the amazing Bianca over at Confessions of a Chocoholic Not only did she get me some wonderful goodies, but she is local! We live a mere 15 minutes away so hopefully I will get to meet Bianca soon!

It was a package of TJ’s goodies! The best package.
I told her it was so ironic that she got me these teas because I literally tweeted about how I needed to try them soon, but didn’t have them yet! I am so super excited to try these out! Especially the candy cane lane tea. Perfect for night time!
Cranberry apple butter (I sense a spoonful will be on my oats in the near future) and spicy chai mix, which can be used iced or hot which is awesome because I love iced chai’s! THANK YOU SO MUCH BIANCA!

Onto some things that I am loving lately….
This book. “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” I started it when I went to Florida and it is so addicting! I am not through yet, but whenever I put it down I cannot wait to pick it back up again!
Covergirl Amazemint lip gloss. I picked it up at the store thanks to Melissa recommendation and it is so tasty! The gloss is infused with peppermint oil so it gives you a breath of fresh mint, not to mention it is not sticky and super shiny!
Dark Kiss scent from Bath and Body Works. To say I love thats store is an understatement. I love the smells, trying new candles, soaps etc. I discovered this new scent while in Florida, and I could only get teh travel sizes because I was carrying on my luggage. It is the most amazing smelling scent ever. It has notes of bergamot, incense, mirabelle plum, black raspberry, amber, burgundy rose, geranium, peony, dark vanilla bean, labdunum, vetiver, balsam and musk. I absolutely adore it and just ordered the perfume as well!
Wearing my glasses. It is so nice to give my eyes a break from wearing contacts and I have been living in my glasses which I love!
The “Around Me” application on my iphone. Searches anything from anywhere and picks up your location. On the way to my AFAA workshop I was driving in some new territory and wanted coffee so I  went to this app, searched coffee and found a Starbucks on my way!
Celery I have been munching on it throughout the day and I just love the crunch! I also have been dipping it in some almond butter which is a delicious combination! Throw on some raisins and that brings me back to my childhood of ants on a log!
 ——-
Lunch was a big bowl of salad with cucumbers, celery, peppers, broccoli, snap peas, 4 oz sweet potato and 3 oz ground turkey
I am also loving this salsa from TJ’s I have been using it as a salad topper and its the perfect spiciness for me!
I always try to look for salsa with under 100mg of sodium per serving!
Check out my new winter hat! I love the bling and its super warm. Its Michael Kors if anyone is interested!

HAVE A FABULOUS NIGHT!

Question of the day: How do you spruce up a winter outfit to go from boring and drab to eye catching?
