Simple Snacking!

Hi friends! Speaking of friends, I am watching FRIENDS on TBS right now and loving it!! Friends used to by my all time favorite TV show and when they had their last episode I may or may not have shed a tear! Anyways, its on, and I’m happy! Today was a good day. It was my ‘active rest day’ which I will get to in a little bit

Yesterday I had an awesome afternoon snack. This is super easy to make and takes about 1 minute! I cooked 2 egg whites in the microwave until light and fluffy. I topped 1 salt free rice cake with 1 T almond butter and then my egg white puff on top! Protein, fat, carbs=delicious!

Breakfast was the usual oats, berries and egg whites. I plopped about 1 T of sugar free jam on top for some extra umpf!
Breakfast was eaten after my workout. Today, I did the Insanity Core Cardio and Balance DVD, which is the DVD I did during my recovery week. It is not nearly as intense, and more stretching and balance focused. It was good! After I inclined walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes. I haven’t walked on an incline on the treadmill in SO long and man, its tough!! I need to get better at that. Of course, I don’t touch the sides of the machine!! I also took a yoga class today. The yoga I took was at work and it was more relaxing than an acutal workout, which is just what I wanted because I really needed to STRETCH my body. It was perfect! lots of hip openers!
2 hours later, I sliced up a pink lady apple
With 1 T of almond butter. I also had 1 cup of greek yogurt.

Lunch was a large tupperware packed salad. Baby spinach, raw mushrooms, red pepper, cucumeber, pea shoots, tofu and I also added 1/2 of a sweet potato
I think sometimes how much money I am saving when I bring my meals to work (which is basically every day) I bought lunch for the first time in a while yesterday at work at it was about $7. So think 7×5 (days a week) =$35 dollars each week. $35 x 4 (months) = $140 a month!! No thanks!

I made a quick Target trip after work because I wanted to get some workout spandex and some other things. I spotted these bowls for $1.99. I know Katie got the pink set, and loved them, so I thought these would be great!!

Enter: Afternoon snack. 3 egg whites, frozen spinach, 1/2 C black beans, 3 oz tuna

I topped it with Mrs Dash southwestern seasoning. This combo worked! I loved the flavors and it was deeeeelish. 
Sorry I have been so boring lately! Lots going on over here. I am still waiting to get my whole training/diet plan. I have been getting emails asking how my diet and training is and I have not yet recieved it! WHen I do recieve it, I won’t be documenting my exact workouts and diet, just glimpses here and there. I am paying a lot for this program and even if I did share everything with you, this is the program that is customized for ME. What works for my body, won’t neccessarily work for the person next to me, and I think this is the biggest problem with the diets that you read in oxygen magazines and such. Sure, they are great suggestions, but me and my brother should not be following that same diet if we were to follow it to a T. it is important to KNOW YOUR BODY and KNOW WHAT WORKS FOR YOU. 

I also want to vent a song that I just cannot STAND that plays on the radio so so so much! “cooler than me” AHH it drives me bonkers! I don’t think the guy has a good voice and the lyrics are so stupid! HOW is this on the radio!!
